Solo Work

Onew contributed a single for singer Lee Hyeon-Ji. For "Vanilla LOVE" and for "Vanilla Love Part 2".

 He also contributed a single for Girl's Generation member Jessica, for the song, "One Year Later" for Girl's Generation's mini album: Tell Me Your Wish (Genie).

Onew sang a duet with Kim Yeon-Woo. They sang the song "The Name I Loved" from SHINee's third mini album, "2009, Year Of Us"

Onew also recored a song called, "In Your Eyes" for the drama series, "To The Beautiful You". The song was released on August 22, 2012 for To The Beautiful You OST Part 2.

Acting Career

Onew acted for the main roles for various musicals in the year 2010, debuting from the musical "Hyeongjeneun Yonggamhaetda" (Brothers Were Brave). He worked alongside singer Lee Ji-Hoon. Then he starred in the production of "Rock Of Ages" (Korean). He played the lead role, Drew.

Onew also has showcased his acting skills on television by having a cameo role of a clumsy doctor in the drama, Dr. Champ. Onew appeared in the final episode of the drama. He has also had cameo roles in the dramas, Athena: Goddess of War, Oh My God x2, Pure Love and Royal Villa

 Composing Work

He wrote the lyricsof the song, "Your Name" from SHINee's 2nd Studio Album, Lucifer.

TV Shows

Onew became an MC for 2 TV programs. Those programs are: KBS's Yahaengsung (Nocturnal) and MBC's Show! Music Core.

School

Onew attended Gwangmyeong Information Industry High School and graduated. In his senior year, he was ranked as the second top student in his grade. Onew had the highest national score for their school SATs exams. Onew is currently attending Chungwoon University. He's majoring in broadcasting music.

Personal Life

In June 2009, during the filming of Music Bank (finale), Onew fainted after a light fixture toppled over and almost hit him. Kyuhyun and Siwon from Super Junior prevented the light fixture from hitting Onew. Despite not being phisically injured, Onew showed signs of mental trauma and was diagnosed phsycologically unstable. He later fainted again in the waiting room and was transported to the hospital immediately.

Onew was supposed to be on KBS 2TV's Kpop festival special, "Music Bank in Paris" on February 2, 2012 with the other SHINee members, but, he was unable to because of an ankle injury.
